Deschutes County’s 911 program asked the board June 3 to amend its existing 10‑year managed‑services agreement with L3Harris to add five additional communications sites: Hellebute, Sisters Camp Sherman Fire Department site, LongB site, road department site and the Kingwood backup center. Commissioners approved the amendment during the meeting; staff said the change increases annual maintenance costs by $118,436 (about $23,600 per added site).
