Jason Sullivan, EMA/EMS director, asked the commissioners to adopt Resolution 2026008 to accept a modest revision to the county hazard mitigation plan for 2025. Sullivan said the change — an added table and an appendix — was requested by a conservancy district to strengthen language for a specific competitive grant application; other plan elements remain unchanged.
Commissioners and staff described the revision as broadened language that would allow the county to pursue the identified grant and similar funding opportunities. A commissioner moved to accept the changes; the motion was seconded and carried.
Sullivan said the plan had been adopted previously on Feb. 17, 2026 and that this revision is limited to the requested addition to improve grant alignment; no substantive changes beyond the appendix were reported in the meeting discussion.
