Arlington launches countywide "ACT" climate action plan, seeks community input
Arlington staff presented a countywide Climate Action Plan project called Arlington Climate Together (ACT), framing an 18'24 month process to update the Community Energy Plan, add adaptation and resilience measures, and solicit public feedback ahead of a late-2027/early-2028 board review.

Rich Douly, Arlington County's director of climate policy and the project manager for the new climate action plan, told the Forestry and Natural Resources Commission that the county has launched a broad, 18'24 month initiative called Arlington Climate Together (ACT) to replace and expand the Community Energy Plan.
