Commission approves LED lighting conversion after ROI Energy presentation
Following a presentation by Joe Hur of ROI Energy, the commission approved a special CIP request to pursue a turnkey LED lighting conversion for three county buildings; the project cost is $111,567 with an Evergy incentive of about $32,634 and an estimated payback of about 4½ years with incentives.

Joe Hur, a representative of ROI Energy, told the Geary County Commission that the company’s turnkey proposal to convert lighting at three county facilities carries a total project cost of “$111,000 and change, 111,567.” He said Evergy’s program would fund roughly $32,634 of that total and pay that incentive directly to the contractor at project completion.
