Morrow County commissioners approve routine transfers, appropriations and appointments

Morrow County commissioners on June 1 approved a slate of routine financial actions, contracts and appointments, voting unanimously to move funds, authorize purchases and reappoint a board member during their regular session.
The board approved an appropriation of unappropriated certified monies for the prosecutor’s fund and a transfer to place prosecutor wages back into the correct account after wages had been taken from program support services. The clerk recorded affirmative roll-call votes from Mister Siegfried, Mister Mason and Mister Abraham.
Commissioners also approved payment of $22,637 to repair storm damage to the courthouse and moved to appropriate the same amount from capital funds to cover the expense. Separately, a transfer of $3,154.25 from the property liability deductible to in-and-out expenses was approved so the county could issue payment to the Fair Board.
The board approved payment of an invoice for Harris Ditch maintenance (south of Sparta) and voted to advertise for bidders on a rehabilitation project listed as MRWPRU09CR15 after brief discussion about the project's location and stream crossings. Commissioners approved two school resource officer agreements — one described as an agreement involving Matt Bailey and local schools with the county sheriff’s office, and another between North Knoxville and the county sheriff’s office.
The board moved and approved the reappointment of Dan Berger to the West Plains Guilds Board and authorized Chairman Tim Abraham to file specified county Job and Family Services profile paperwork. Most routine items passed by unanimous voice or roll call votes with no recorded dissents.
The meeting concluded after additional staff updates about bids and pending agreements; commissioners adjourned following unanimous votes.
