Surfside staff outlines SeeClickFix tool for residents to report town problems

A Surfside staff member introduced SeeClickFix during a short town presentation and urged residents to use the online tool to report maintenance problems so town staff can address them quickly.

The staff member framed the service with a simple slogan: "See, click, fix." They said the tool lets "surfsiders" report what they observe so "town administration can address what you see out and about around town that we may miss in our routine patrols." The presenter gave a concrete example: if someone on the beach finds "one of our trail ropes is broken and lying on the ground," they should take a photo and submit it through the service.

The presenter walked listeners through the steps to file a report: "If you snap a quick picture of that, go to the website for a SeeClickFix which you can find through the town website on your phone or via laptop. Report that down rope. Let us know where you saw it and we will then tend to it." The staff member said reporters "will get an acknowledgement of that report and we'll have that fixed and back up quickly," describing the expected follow-up once the town receives a submission.

The presentation closed with the staff member describing SeeClickFix as "a sense of accountability for the town" and thanking attendees, saying they "look forward to resolving all of your concerns."
