Board adopts multiple proclamations and approves Parker Township conditional use permit

Proclamations: The board adopted proclamations recognizing May as Drug Court Recognition Month (noting Morrison County’s drug court has operated since 2014 and served 109 individuals), May 2026 as Military Spouse Month (read by Veteran Service Officer Christina Bombberg), Foster Care Month (Morrison County Social Services reported 25 licensed child foster/relative foster families, four corporate child residential foster families, 17 licensed family adult foster care providers, and 34 corporate adult foster care homes), and Emergency Medical Services Week (May 17–23, 2026) praising volunteer and career responders. Each proclamation was moved and seconded by commissioners on the floor and adopted by voice vote.
Parker Township conditional use permit: Planning staff presented a conditional use permit for Parker Township to expand its town hall; the planning commission recommended approval. Commissioner Lamir moved to approve; Commissioner Winter seconded. Commissioners noted no water or sewer impacts and that required variances had been addressed. The motion passed on roll call.
