Commissioners back application to secure replacement AEDs and maintenance program

The staff presentation said the grant would include maintenance and replacement parts, with recurring pad/battery costs estimated at roughly $500 per year for the county's coverage plan; staff also said about nine devices were being considered for purchase to place devices in county buildings and at the Eureka Annex. Commissioners agreed to support submitting the application and discussed training for staff and placement of devices at high-traffic county properties.
No public comment was offered on the grant support motion and the board approved moving forward.
