Senator Wiggins described SB 2896, a Department of Public Safety request to raise pay for highway patrol troopers, Bureau of Narcotics and Bureau of Investigation personnel by up to $11,000. He told the committee he was uncertain about recurring revenue availability but wants to preserve the vehicle for discussion and said a reverse repealer had been included in the committee substitute to keep the topic alive.
