Motion: moved by Council member Williams; seconded by Council member Huffman. Vote: 7–0.
Regional Fire Authority planning committee appointments (agenda bill 24888): The council nominated and approved three city representatives to the RFA planning committee charged with developing an RFA service plan. The motion to include Mayor Lund, Council member Littlequist and Council member Hamill (as the city’s three appointees) was moved and seconded and passed 7–0. Fire District 8 will appoint its three commissioners separately.
City Council strategic communications and community engagement plan (agenda bill 24895): Council member Huffman moved and Council member Williams seconded approval of the plan; the council approved it 7–0.
City Council communications charter (agenda bill 24896): Council member Cotton moved and Council member Williams seconded adoption of the charter establishing a council communications work group and decision protocols; the motion passed 7–0.
Each of these items was presented and discussed on the record; staff noted follow‑up actions (recruitment under the new HPC rules, staff review of any contract impacts from state housing law changes, formation of the communications work group and after‑action coordination for the RFA process).
