Lake County utilities outline plan for lead-service-line notifications and replacements
Utilities staff told commissioners they mailed about 20,000 notice letters last year under new federal lead-service-line rules and said utilities must begin a 10-year replacement schedule from 2027 to 2037; per-connection replacement estimates range from roughly $5,000 to $10,000.
