The Cedar County Board of Supervisors voted May 26 to impose a six‑month moratorium on the approval or construction of data centers in the county to allow time for completion of a new data center ordinance. The motion, moved by Supervisor Barnhart and seconded by Supervisor Bixler, passed unanimously.
