Pelham Manor trustees approve fee changes, contracts and several routine measures

The Pelham Manor Board of Trustees on May 26 unanimously approved a series of resolutions and motions, including a revised municipal fee schedule, a contract for catch-basin cleaning and several personnel and financial actions.
The Board voted to approve the May 11, 2026 meeting minutes and to refer two site-plan amendment applications — for 5 Canal Road (First Student) and 825 Pelham Parkway (BJ’s) — to the Planning Board for review. Manager Luft had recommended referral to ensure a fuller Planning Board review of both proposals.
Trustees also voted to award the annual catch-basin cleaning contract to Fred A. Cook Jr., Inc., the lowest responsive proposer. The contract was described in meeting materials as totaling $36,500 and intended to service 365 village-owned catch basins to support MS4 stormwater program compliance.
By resolution the Board adopted an updated fee schedule intended to increase certain building-permit fees and other charges (the fee changes are detailed in the adopted schedule). Voucher numbers 34653–34690 were approved for payment. The Board authorized an executive session to discuss pending litigation and employment matters; the transcript reports that no action was taken in executive session.
On resumption of the public meeting, trustees approved a package of salary adjustments effective June 1, 2026, listing revised compensation for several positions including the Police Chief and others.
