Supporters said the measure would provide coordinated action across jurisdictions; the resolution instructs the city clerk to distribute the adopted text to other city clerks and state legislators. The roll call vote was unanimous: the motion passed 5–0.
The resolution is advisory to the state legislature and does not itself create state policy. The commission’s action reflects a policy position meant to influence lawmakers and to signal local support for coordinated state-level responses to antisemitic incidents.
