Council annexes Artistry Lakes and accepts $1 million housing contribution in lieu of on-site workforce units

On March 10 the Village of Wellington approved a package of measures to annex roughly 446 acres west of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road (Ordinance 2025-13), amend the comprehensive plan (Ord. 2026-04), rezone the property (Ord. 2026-05) and adopt a PUD master plan (Resolution R2026-02) to create the Artistry Lakes development. The motions passed by roll call votes recorded in the meeting and each passed unanimously (5-0).
