City rolls out ADA sidewalk assessment using sidewalk‑scanning robots; staff stresses privacy safeguards

The city described an ADA self‑assessment and transition plan that will use sidewalk‑scanning robots (referred to as Dax bots) to survey up to 90 miles of public sidewalks; staff said robots will operate only on public right‑of‑way, be field‑overseen and that recorded video is looped by default unless an operator saves a clip.
