Courtney, the county events lead, presented the logistics and programming for this weekend’s Pride event at the county fairgrounds, including site layout changes, vendor placement and safety plans.
Key operational points: vendor pods in the exhibit hall parking area, use of a newly completed gravel lot for general parking (estimated capacity ~900), paved lot reserved for accessible parking, on‑site traffic direction provided by Laz parking staff, and entertainer/vendor load‑in and parking plans. Courtney said both stages are booked all day with family‑focused programming on the gazebo stage (drag‑queen story hour, community band, poet laureate Eric Francis at 3 p.m.) and performances, including a drag show, on the exhibit stage.
The event will feature about 59 vendor booths, interactive public art (Barter Collective, Rainbow Dome), free kids activities (ropes course, quad‑jump trampoline) and a free arcade area. Security and medical coordination include Adams County Sheriff deputies, Brighton Fire paramedics and Citadel Security; overnight security will be present Friday and Saturday to protect installations.
Ending note: staff said shirts will be provided to commissioners who plan to attend and reiterated the county’s operational and safety plans for the event.
