PSC circulates draft procedures for Select Board–Human Resources coordination on COLA

The Wellesley Policy Subcommittee reviewed a proposed framework for coordination between the Select Board and the Human Resources Board on policies that carry potential financial impacts, including guidance for Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLA).
"The draft is helpful," said Colette Aufranc. Members discussed delineating roles and expectations between the two bodies and agreed the draft should be circulated to the Executive Director and the Human Resources Director for comment. The Subcommittee plans to invite Human Resources Board members and staff leadership to the next PSC meeting to finalize guidance before presenting it to the Select Board for a first read.
Mr. Largess said he would review the draft more closely and provide comments when the Select Board takes the item up for a second read. The PSC characterized the current draft as ready for a Select Board second read once the Subcommittee and staff feedback is incorporated.
