Calhoun County supervisors appoint board member, set schedule and accept reports

Supervisor Scott Jacobs moved to appoint J. Maulsby to the Board of Adjustment to fill a vacancy left by Mike Sexton; Supervisor Cory Ridgely seconded. The minutes record the motion and the term end date (Dec. 31, 2025) but do not record the vote outcome in the meeting text.
Richard Hall, E911/EMA Coordinator and Zoning Administrator, provided department updates earlier in the meeting. Bruce Musgrave, EMS Director, reported that a scheduling-software contract has been approved and that the Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT) contract has been completed; he also noted one remaining Essential Services town-hall meeting.
The board approved quarterly reports ending Sept. 30, 2025, for the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department and the Calhoun County Historical Society on a motion by Jacobs, seconded by Ridgely; the minutes record unanimous approval. The board adjourned and set its next regular meeting for Oct. 28, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
