Commissioners deny one indigent application, suspend another
Summary

Denise Horsley, Caribou County Indigent Director, presented indigent aid applications at the Feb. 25 meeting. The board signed a lien on application 201316 and, after noting the applicant failed to cooperate with the interview and did not provide required information, Commissioner Phil Christensen moved to deny application 201316; Commissioner Mark Mathews seconded and the motion passed with all commissioners voting yes.
Separately, Commissioner Mathews moved to suspend application 201315 until other resources are made available; Commissioner Christensen seconded and the motion carried. The minutes do not record an applicant response or additional documentation supporting either action.
The board’s actions are administrative decisions recorded in the minutes; there was no recorded appeal or rehearing directed at the meeting.
