The Town of Fishkill Planning Board voted June 11 to schedule a public hearing on July 9 for a site‑development plan amendment at 400 West, after the applicant presented architectural changes and site‑plan refinements.
Karen Lo of Labella Associates described design changes that simplified a previously proposed modern portico to better match the existing brick building and explained a realigned main drive intended to improve circulation. The applicant described a 24,000‑sq‑ft, four‑story addition, a proposed 315 parking spaces (where 411 are required) and two requested waivers: reduced parking count and parking stall dimension waivers.
Board members and staff discussed bus drop‑off patterns for an existing day‑hab tenant (CP Unlimited), canopy coverage for passenger waiting areas, the adequacy of drop‑off striped areas and the possibility of a speed‑reducing device at the new straight drive; MJ Engineering noted the need for details on a monument sign and stormwater calculations for a proposed double‑box culvert under a frontage road.
Fred moved, and Bob seconded, to set the public hearing for July 9 at 7 p.m.; the motion passed unanimously. The board also authorized MJ Engineering to prepare draft EAF Parts 2 and 3 and a draft Negative Declaration at the board's direction during the July review.
