Fishkill planning board approves short extensions for three pending projects

Attorney Charles Gotautle told the board that the Chick‑fil‑A application had received most outside agency approvals and that performance bonds were mailed to the town clerk. Gotautle said the developer "expect[s] construction to start this summer," and asked for a one‑year extension. Board members said six months would be sufficient; the board approved a six‑month extension to Dec. 12, 2026 (motion moved by Bob; seconded by Kevin; vote 7–0).
Dominic Cordiscoco, the board attorney, reported that the Duchess Storage applicant was finalizing performance securities and expected to be ready quickly; the board granted a three‑month extension through Sept. 14, 2026 (motion moved by Anthony; seconded by Bob; vote 7–0).
Karen Lo of Labella Associates requested a six‑month extension for the 300 West Hotel while the project completes bond and water‑service coordination; Dominic said six months was appropriate and the board approved the extension to Jan. 10, 2027 (motion moved by Ravi; seconded by Felix; vote 7–0).
The approvals were routine and tied to filing of securities and agency sign‑offs; board members noted the projects will return if applicants need amended approvals or additional conditions.
