The Town of Acton Select Board approved the following motions at its Aug. 14 meeting (all motions carried by unanimous voice vote of members present unless noted):
- Approval of the meeting agenda and approval of minutes for July 31 and Aug. 7, 2024 (motions by Dan Norwood, seconded by Ed Walsh).
- Approval for Fire Chief Wayne Ham to spend up to $15,000 in grant funds to purchase AED units, wall mounts and pads for town locations and the Transfer Station; remaining funds to buy AED pads as needed (motion by Ed Walsh, seconded by Dan Norwood).
- Adoption of an excise-tax support letter dated Aug. 14, 2024 for motor-vehicle services between Acton and Shapleigh (motion by Tom McGurty, seconded by Ed Walsh).
- Approval of a one-day liquor license for Boondocks Farm's catering request for Aug. 31, 2024 at Blueberry Hill Farm (motion by David Winchell Jr., seconded by Dan Norwood).
- Approval of Central Maine Power pole permits for two poles at Hopper Road and Sam Paige Road (motion by Tom McGurty, seconded by Ed Walsh).
- Motion to adjourn at 7:22 p.m. (motion by Tom McGurty, seconded by Ed Walsh).
