Council authorizes engineering contract for three‑street improvement project

Versailles Village Council authorized the Village Administrator to enter into a contract with Access Engineering Solutions, LLC for preliminary design and engineering of the West Wood Street, Columbia Street and Pearl Street Improvements Project.

Ms. Shaffer moved to authorize the contract and Mr. Griesdorn seconded. Council voted unanimously to approve the authorization.

The administrator’s report (distributed at the meeting) described multiple ongoing street projects, including N. East Street reconstruction between E. Water and E. Main, sidewalk and storm-sewer work, and planned paving schedules tied to other subdivision work. The Access Engineering authorization covers the preliminary design phase for three identified streets; the motion does not itself appropriate construction funding.
