The Rules Committee discussed overlapping sections of the town's codified ordinances and agreed to defer further action until the Solicitor completes draft paperwork. Chair Debbie Schaffner said she had not had an opportunity to review the overlap; Solicitor Feyko said he is preparing an ordinance to amend the overlapping sections. Village Administrator Matthew Nihiser reported he had reviewed the proposed changes and found them reasonable. Committee member Philip MacLean said he agreed with the VA's assessment but preferred to wait for the Solicitor's paperwork before taking action. Schaffner stated the item would be tabled until the next meeting.
No vote on a substantive ordinance amendment was recorded; the committee will revisit the matter when the Solicitor provides his draft.
