Atkinson selectmen approve fire scheduling software, ambulance contract and routine administrative items

In a 4-0 series of votes at the Feb. 9 meeting, the Atkinson Board of Selectmen approved new fire department scheduling software for $3,062, adopted a ground ambulance provider standing contract, approved two $750 veteran tax credits and accepted a $315 donation for elder transportation.
At their Feb. 9, 2026 meeting the Atkinson Board of Selectmen approved several administrative contracts and routine items by unanimous vote.
Selectman Peter Torosian moved to replace the Fire Department’s scheduling software and the board approved the change for a one-time cost of $3,062 with an annual 7% increase thereafter; Selectman Wendy Barker seconded and the motion passed 4-0. The board also approved entering the New Hampshire ground ambulance provider standing contract and authorized Town Administrator John Apple to sign the agreement effective immediately; the motion listed commercial health plans named in the contract (document references Aetna, Anthem, Matthew Thornton, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, UnitedHealthcare and others). Selectman Torosian made these motions and Barker seconded; both motions passed 4-0.
On assessing matters the board approved two veteran tax credits of $750 each (Map 17 Lot 3; Map 9 Lot 11) on a motion by Selectman Barker, seconded by Selectman Torosian. The board accepted a $315 donation to the Elder Services Transportation Fund on a motion by Selectman Torosian, seconded by Barker. The board approved meeting minutes of Jan. 12, 2026, as amended, and public hearing minutes of Jan. 15, 2026.
Selectman Barker moved that the board enter a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II(c) (reputation); Selectman Torosian seconded and the motion passed 4-0. After re-entering public session, the board voted to seal the non-public minutes for 10 years. The meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
