Council reviews unified development code changes and continues budget workshop
Council members discussed proposed restrictions on hemp retail and data center siting under the unified development code and heard presentations from the police and public works departments as part of a summer budget review period leading to a final fiscal-year decision.

At the June 4 meeting a city staff member said council provided comments on proposed updates to the unified development code, specifically raising limits on where hemp retail shops could operate and on the number and siting of data centers within city limits. Staff said those comments will go back to the planning and zoning commission for review and a recommendation.
