Council approves Patriot Fuels amendment and clears routine consent items
Council approved Resolution #5172 authorizing an amendment with Patriot Fuels, approved bills and payroll, and granted permits for the Hog Capital festival; questions were raised about a few invoices and training costs.

At its June 24 meeting the Kewanee City Council approved Resolution #5172 authorizing the City Manager to execute an amendment to the city’s agreement with Patriot Fuels, LLC. City Manager Bradley said Patriot Fuels paid $80,000 last year and agreed to pay an additional $80,000 to correct a mistake in the original agreement’s end date. The resolution passed on a motion by Council Member Komnick, seconded by Council Member Faber (roll call 5–0).
