In one meeting the council adopted Ordinances 2024-9 (new zoning map), 2024-10 (PUD zoning) and 2024-11 (R5 multi-housing district), and approved Ordinance 2024-8 amending parks and recreation code; each ordinance was advanced on successive readings and adopted with roll-call or voice votes.

The Huntsville City Council approved a package of ordinances in Monday’s meeting that included a new official zoning map, creation of a Planned Urban District (PUD) classification, a new R5 multi-housing residential district and an amendment to the Parks and Recreation code.
