Select Board approves several Tree Growth applications, declines one pending plan verification

The Select Board reviewed multiple Tree Growth applications on April 14. Motions carried to accept applications for Richard Bodemer (Map 014, Lot 014), Robert Swain (Map 006, Lot 021) and Scott & Becky Hill (Map 014, Lot 54D). The board declined to accept an application for Ellis Family Realty Trust (Hudspeth) because the submission relied on a 2022 forestry plan and members questioned whether a plan that far back was acceptable for a 10‑year renewal that purportedly ends in 2032.
Chair Brian Mills asked staff to verify whether the 2022 plan met current standards before reconsidering the Hudspeth application. No other changes to the Tree Growth program were made at the meeting.
