Golf clubhouse reports staffing changes and equipment issues; council notes course water work

At the Sept. 10 meeting the golf clubhouse manager, Missi Suchor, reported operational updates for the municipal golf course.
Suchor said the clubhouse ice machine is undersized for current demand, staff hours have been limited Monday through Thursday because rounds have declined, and Kailey Klein resigned to begin an internship. The clubhouse hosted a successful memorial tournament, wedding reception and a three-person tournament with volunteer support from league players. Pricing for next year’s rentals and the Member Appreciation event scheduled for Nov. 5 were discussed.
Council noted that Amanda Lager is handling water issues on the course. No council action or funding was approved during the report; the information was entered into the minutes as an operational update.
