Covington council adopts ordinance adding four-way stops at multiple intersections
On Aug. 19 the Covington Village Council adopted Ordinance 17-24 to convert several intersections to four-way stops, including newly listed locations on S. Harrison, and directed the police chief to place the additional signs; the council waived the three-reading rule and approved the ordinance by unanimous voice vote.

The Covington Village Council on Aug. 19 approved Ordinance 17-24 to change several intersections within the village to four-way stops, including three additional sign locations raised during the meeting. Councilmember Jesse Reynolds moved to waive the three-reading rule; Julie Blumenstock seconded and the motion carried with all ayes. Councilmember Derrick Canan then moved to adopt Ordinance 17-24; Amy Welborn seconded and the adoption passed with all ayes.
