"We do that work for children," he said, describing services that help families access healthcare and basic needs through school programs.
Dr. Maretti emphasized the district's community role and the scale of operations: "We have over 2,000 employees that come every day trying to do what's best for children," he said, and urged the community to recognize the breadth of services provided at school sites.
The board did not vote on new funding allocations during the meeting; the report functioned as an informational update ahead of the summer and the next school year.
