RMLD IT director outlines cybersecurity changes, MDM rollout and AMI progress
RMLD’s IT director told the board the utility is switching cybersecurity vendors to gain better dashboards and about $10,000 in annual savings, is deploying an MDM solution, and is advancing AMI infrastructure; GM reported about 6,800 of nearly 32,000 meters are replaced.

John Bit, RMLD director of IT, told the board the department has completed vendor evaluations and will replace its cybersecurity monitoring tool with a platform the team judged easier to use and that will save roughly $10,000 a year. "The difference is on the tool we have now... the new tool... give you a summary, they give you a score," Bit said, describing the operational efficiencies expected from the new dashboard.
