Plainfield council unanimously approves Hines PUD amendment, annexation and code updates

The Plainfield Town Council on Jan. 12 voted unanimously to adopt several ordinances and a resolution following motions and roll-call votes.
Council accepted a Plan Commission recommendation and adopted Ordinance No. 02-2026 on a single reading to amend the Town zoning ordinance and zone map for the Hines Property PUD. The council also approved Resolution No. 2026-01 to encumber appropriations to be carried forward.
On third reading the council adopted three ordinances by unanimous roll calls: Ordinance No. 44-2025, annexing certain territory (Daum Properties) into Council District 4; Ordinance No. 47-2025, amending § 38.01 of the Town Code to revise the administrative fee schedule (as amended); and Ordinance No. 48-2025, revising Chapter 96 concerning garbage and recycling collection.
Council approved the first of two readings for Ordinance No. 03-2026, which would provide additional appropriations for the Water Operating and Water Availability Funds; that measure passed its first reading on a unanimous roll call and will return for a second reading before final adoption.
All recorded votes shown in the meeting transcript were unanimous 'yes.' Motions were moved and seconded as noted in the official minutes and certified by Town Clerk Mark Todisco.
