Personnel Committee approves July increment increases for eligible county employees
The Allegany County Personnel Committee approved processing first-step and scheduled pay increments effective July 1, 2026 for employees hired between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, covering dozens of county positions across departments; the motion was referred to Ways & Means.

The Allegany County Personnel Committee on June 3 approved permission to process increment increases for eligible employees effective July 1, 2026, under Resolution No. 1-69. Personnel Officer H. Robert Budinger told the committee that employees hired between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2025 were not eligible for a January 1 increment and therefore will receive their first increment this July; all future increments for those employees will revert to the Jan. 1 schedule.
