The Pocatello‑Chubbuck School District 25 board removed a YMCA marching band overnight camp from its consent agenda and voted to deny the overnight portion of the request at its June 19 meeting. Trustees said the district's attorney had cautioned that supervision and liability at remote overnight camps could create unacceptable risk, and several trustees said the proposal had been advertised to parents before the board reviewed or approved it.
