Mount Kisco schedules hearing on wireless code amendments after RF study request

The Mount Kisco Village Board voted June 30 to place proposed amendments to the village wireless code on the agenda for a public hearing on July 14, 2025. Mayor J. Michael Cindrich introduced the draft local law and asked that additional language be added to the proposed ordinance.
During discussion the board engaged with the attorney who assisted drafting the law (Mr. Campanelli). Trustee Thomas G. Luzio requested more information, specifically asking staff to provide studies from other municipalities on radiofrequency (RF) radiation to inform the board’s review. Mayor Cindrich moved to schedule the hearing; Trustee Angie Guerra seconded, and the motion passed unanimously, 5-0.
The board did not vote on the substance of the wireless code changes at this meeting. The scheduled July 14 hearing will provide an opportunity for public comment and for staff to present any supplemental language and technical studies the board requests before it considers final adoption.
