"Rangely has been probably one of the most exciting opportunities I've seen yet," Parker said, describing prior experience in municipal operations and consulting work with smaller towns.
At the meeting the council moved and seconded to approve Parker’s contract; the motion carried. Council members welcomed Parker to the role and some applauded his experience and ideas for housing and other initiatives. The contract approval followed an introductory presentation by Parker earlier in the agenda.
What’s next: the council indicated Parker is now on contract; further personnel and onboarding steps will be handled administratively per standard town procedures.
