Oracle Elementary board approves multiple ASBA policy advisories
Summary
The district board approved ASBA Policy Advisories 809–818 on second read and adopted advisories 819–862 after a first read and a motion to waive the second read, updating governing board and district policies.
The Governing Board of Oracle Elementary School District No.2 approved a set of Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) policy advisories at its April 14 meeting.
On second read the board approved ASBA Policy Advisories 809–818 and recommended updates to district policies DJE/DJE‑R, CBI (superintendent evaluation), and JFB (open enrollment), actions brought forward by Superintendent Nehrmeyer. Jeri Taylor moved to approve the updates and Sean Borland seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Superintendent Nehrmeyer also presented a first read of ASBA Policy Advisories 819–862 (Section B: Governing Board). Member Wendy Odell moved to adopt those advisories without a second read; Jeri Taylor seconded and the board approved the advisories.
The advisories address governing board policies and administrative requirements; the board recorded the approvals as standard policy housekeeping and directed staff to publish updated policy language as appropriate.
