Plainfield — The Plainfield Redevelopment Commission on March 2 heard an update from Ryan King of BF&S on the Echo Hollow Nature Park project and received a public question about whether community input had been incorporated into planning.
Ryan King reviewed recent work and the planning path BF&S has developed with Plainfield staff to advance the park project. King described project milestones and next steps for developing site plans and community outreach; no formal vote or commitment of funding was made at the meeting.
During the public comment period, resident Jack McGriffin asked whether information from the Echo Hollow group had been used in the park planning and whether the commission would hold another meeting with that group. “I wanted to ask if the information from the Echo Hallow group that gave input pertaining to the Park. Or, if it was utilized or will we meet again,” McGriffin said.
Mr. Klinger responded that the group’s input had been “very valuable” and that staff are considering a follow-up meeting to continue engagement and incorporate feedback.
The presentation provided the commission with an update on planning and did not include a request for immediate action. The commission adjourned with its next regularly scheduled meeting set for April 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
