Behavioral health reimbursement: The board approved an agreement with United Behavioral Health to enable the county to be reimbursed for certain substance‑use disorder (SUD) case coordination and case‑management services. Denise (staff) said the county previously missed revenue from these services and the agreement corrects that oversight.
Facilities and staffing: Commissioners approved combining two vacant part‑time custodial positions into one full‑time position to improve cleaning coverage across the courthouse, highway complex and related county buildings. Facilities staff said the FY2025 budget will need approximately $19,000 more for benefits if the position is continued into next year.
Public safety hardware: The sheriff presented a service agreement to replace UPS batteries that bridge power to the jail generator; the board approved the cost as budgeted, citing lifecycle replacement and continuity‑of‑operations needs.
Security cameras: County IT recommended replacing a set of 41 Interlogix cameras that will become unsupported this year and upgrading the camera server. Commissioners approved the full‑replacement option (approx. $49,000) and directed that any overage come from reserves to avoid a two‑phase rollout and possible higher costs later.
