Giddings council adopts pole-attachment license, hazard plan, building-code update and fee increases
The Giddings City Council on Feb. 9 adopted a licensing agreement with Sparklight for pole attachments, approved the 2025 Lee County Hazard Mitigation Plan, updated the city's building codes to the 2024 International Codes, raised permit and inspection fees, approved a subdivision preliminary plat and authorized the sale of a small alley.

GIDDINGS, Texas — The Giddings City Council on Feb. 9 approved a package of routine measures that included a pole-attachment licensing agreement with Cable One, Inc. d/b/a Sparklight, adoption of the 2025 Lee County Hazard Mitigation Plan, amendments to local building codes and increases to permit and inspection fees.
