At its June 16 meeting the Townsend Select Board approved several contracts and project items designed to support town operations and infrastructure work.
TCAM agreement and streaming: The board approved a five‑year agreement with TCAM to support meeting recording and streaming, including flexibility for remote/streaming options and contingency language to adapt if vendors or technology change. The motion to approve the agreement passed by roll call.
Engineering services: The board approved a draft engineering contract with Hoy & Tanner to provide on‑call land‑use and professional services under an existing master services arrangement. Officials noted the contract provides an option for technical plan review and support for complex projects.
Brooklyn Street / GPI scope expansion: The board approved an amendment to Greenman‑Pedersen Inc.’s scope for the Brooklyn Street project. The work is funded through Chapter 90 and the MassDOT Complete Streets program; the scope expansion covers construction administration and reporting obligations, and detour construction is to start the week following the meeting.
Harbor Trace WTP stormwater certificate: The Select Board accepted and authorized the town administrator to sign the stormwater certificate of completion for the Harbor Trace Water Treatment Plant, which the planning board will use to close out the project at its June 22 meeting.
Cell tower sublease: The board approved a request to sublease a portion of the town’s cell‑tower lease at 12 Dudley Road from SBA to Celco Partnership doing business as Verizon Wireless, subject to town counsel review and authorizing the chair to sign out of session.
All motions were approved by roll call. Town staff will obtain signed copies, apply stamps where required, and coordinate with town counsel where review was noted.
