Sewer district says financing talks with Indiana Finance Authority advancing; bids expected this fall

Project manager told the Greene County Regional Sewer District that talks with the Indiana Finance Authority are advancing, environmental and archaeological reviews are underway, a construction permit has been filed and bidding is likely in August–September with construction possibly starting in the fall.

Project manager provided the board an update on efforts to secure funding and permits for a new wastewater treatment plant, saying work with the Indiana Finance Authority is moving forward and the authority will take the lead on environmental and archaeological reviews. "Accessing funds is moving along," the project manager said, adding the authority has more experience interacting with the EPA and will help ensure the district meets required environmental reviews.
