At its July 14 meeting the Lower Pottsgrove Township Authority carried several routine actions and received operational and development updates.
The board unanimously approved the June 9, 2025 minutes (motion by Joe McGeehan; second by Joseph Groff). Treasurer Joe McGeehan read the July 14 treasurer's report showing operating-account balances of $4,174,164.37 and capital-account balances of $2,102,964.08; Sean Pence moved to approve the report and Mark Loshnowsky seconded. Solicitor Stephen Kalis read invoices for payment, listing capital invoices of $29,729.00 and an operating register totaling $79,257.38; the board voted 5‑0 to pay the bills (motion by Mark Loshnowsky; second by Joe McGeehan).
Operations updates included a June pump-station report from Sewer Operator Tim Watson, who said recent wet weather caused no overflows. Watson and Manager Edward Wagner described a Villa Drive infiltration event in which the wet well rose from about 2.5 feet to roughly 8 feet within minutes; Watson attributed the spike to infiltration and inflow and said Sewer Specialties is scheduled to televise the line Monday to locate the source.
Wagner reported development activity: a Romig Road orchard sale with a proposal to retain about 10 acres as open frontage and build 67 single‑family homes on the remainder; the project will go to the Planning Commission. He also noted a proposed project near Pruss Hill Road for about 85 homes that still requires zoning approval.
The board reviewed semi‑annual sewer-flow totals through June 2025: 358 million gallons year‑to‑date versus 368 million through June 2024. Wagner said punch-list work on Hilltop Road is complete, grass is regrowing and laterals look satisfactory; he said a $5,000 retainage fee can be released at the next meeting. Manager Wagner suggested canceling the August meeting because he will be out of town; the board agreed. The meeting adjourned at 7:08 p.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for September 8, 2025 at the Township Building.
