The Oracle Elementary District Governing Board on April 13 approved its meeting agenda and consent agenda items that included payroll and expenditure vouchers, a memorandum of understanding for STEM funding, an emergency consulting agreement for food services and an application to provide free summer meals.
Board President Edie Crall opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. and the board moved quickly through routine business. Vice President Jeri Taylor moved to approve the agenda; Jodi Barczak seconded and the motion carried. The consent agenda—covering acceptance of the March 9 minutes and ratification of payroll vouchers (V43–V48) and expenditure vouchers (V2629–V2632)—was presented and approved following a motion by Mrs. Barczak and a second by Mrs. Crall.
The consent packets included a memorandum of understanding with the Oracle Schools Foundation to provide $20,000 for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs at Mountain Vista K‑8 School, and an emergency procurement and agreement with Southwest Food Service Excellence to provide consultant services through the end of the 2025–2026 school year. The board also approved the district’s application to the Arizona Department of Education Food Services to offer free breakfast and lunch to children 18 and younger under the Seamless Summer Option from June 8–30, 2026.
The packet listed donations including Fueling the Future’s spring-break grocery relief for 50 Mountain Vista families and a $2,000 donation from Redhawk Exploration to support a 7th–8th grade educational trip in May 2026. The board noted a Pinal County Elections Department Notice of Election placing two governing board seats on the November 3, 2026 ballot.
