Debbie Schaffner, chairperson of the Rules Committee, called the April 27, 2026 meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The committee approved the minutes of March 23, 2026, on a motion by Committee Member Philip MacLean and a second from Committee Member James Carroll; the motion carried on a 3-0 vote.
Solicitor Feyko reported that he has prepared several ordinances addressing overlaps in the codified code sections and has sent those drafts to the Planning & Zoning Commission for review. Feyko also said he is continuing to work on a proposed amendment to Chapter 804 and provided no timetable for completion.
Committee Member Philip MacLean told the group he was withdrawing the sidewalks item from the agenda "for now," leaving that matter off the committee's active docket. Visitor Ron Bibler was recorded as present and offered no comment during the visitors portion of the meeting.
The committee noted there were no items under New Business and set its next regularly scheduled meeting for Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. With no further business, James Carroll moved to adjourn; MacLean seconded and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. The meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
