The Kenosha City Plan Commission recommended approval of a conditional-use permit for Peach Toad Tattoo, proposed at 5741 75th Street in District 14. Owner Brianna White identified herself and provided her Kenosha address; Whitney George, representing the mall landlord, said the tenant will benefit the plaza and its customers.
Staff reported that the ordinance regulating tattoo establishments had been amended to reduce the minimum distance requirement from 1,000 feet to 750 feet; the applicant does not propose body piercing, which remains subject to the 1,000-foot standard. Staff recommended approval subject to the standard conditions, and the commission voted to recommend approval by voice vote. Staff noted the commission’s recommendation will go to the common council for two hearings as required by city process.
Commissioners expressed no substantive objections during the hearing and moved the item forward.
