Commissioner Nichols moved to authorize $20,000 from LATCF funds for property management to cover unexpected demolition costs. Commissioner DeGroot seconded; the Board voted unanimously to approve. The Board requested immediate notification if any of the funds are spent.
The authorization is intended as contingency funding to keep the Hub demolition on schedule while minimizing the risk of delay caused by hazardous-material discoveries; the county did not specify additional funding sources or a project completion date at the meeting.
